Coffee Party Commonwealth: 

The Coffee Party Commonwealth project seeks greater openness in the discussion of personal finances and family needs in order to make more tangible the current debate over taxes, public investments and the role of government in society. Membership is open to everyone, regardless of economic circumstance.

The political struggle in the coming year over taxes, public spending and public debt will be waged in largely abstract terms, citing incomprehensibly large figures, with little reference to how individual Americans are affected by tax and spending decisions.

By joining the Commonwealth project and sharing your personal story and individual perspective you can make that debate a little more real, a little more relevant—and thereby fulfill the Coffee Party’s vision of a more civil, illuminating public discourse.
